Technical Plan for the Website
Permalink Closed

MIP Family,

As discussed during the transition, your WebHelper team has proposed a plan to strengthen the Miracles in Progress website from a technical standpoint.

What we propose to do:

1. removal of spam from website
2. removal of broken links
3. update or remove outdated or unsafe coding
4. add a link to the MIP Business Board so it is easy to find, similar to the links we have to the Step Work board.

If you have any comments, questions, or concerns about this plan, please post them here by Friday, September 28.

In fellowship and service,
Hidden/Freetime
WebHelper

smile Thanks Hidden and Freetime... helpful for our members to know what is happening. aww ...

Our start-up process was really good... and we can talk each other through any changes- if need-be...

Tanin took us all through the transition phase, after John passed- and maybe now we could call this "a consolidation phase"?

Great plans, Hidden and Freetime!

I would add that it would be good to have someone from each Program review the links and find updates.

Thanks for your service!

Thank you for the suggestion Princess K.

We agree that we would like to bring these links back to health. There are some security issues with some of the links and we are being flagged for malware aka spam/viruses by our hosting provider. Our thought was to keep a list of every link removed and bring them back to the individual fellowship group conscious or the MIP group conscious depending on the relevance to the specific program, to do with as they see fit.

The security of the site one of the most pressing issues. MIP has been infected by both an "Online Pharmacy" as well as a "Iranian Hackers". To insure we are no longer infected and spreading the infection we do need to remove suspicious links in a timely manner.

Freetime will record a log of all links removed, the fellowships associated with and why we removed them to bring back to the group conscious for review.

Thank you for brining this into light. We sincerly hope we can begin to spread hope and help instead of spam and viruses ;).
